Robert Parish was never the best. He was never the biggest or strongest either. "The Chief" was a steady cog inside for four teams with discount jerseys, most notably the Boston Celtics.

Parish first caught national attention at the most unlikely of places.. He played his college ball at Centenary, a school that was on probation the entire time he was there. For that reason, no one besides scouts knew much about the talented player.

Parish made his debut in the nba jerseys with the Golden State Warriors in 1976. He played four seasons for them before being shipped to the Boston Celtics. The had been down for a few seasons, but with Parish coming to join a young Larry Bird (and later Kevin McHale), things looked up.

The Celtics would win three titles while Parish was there for 14 seasons. They won in 1981, 1984 and 1986. As good as Parish was, he never garnered a ton of attention, deferring to Bird.

Parish was a rare breed of big man for his era. Known for finesse and agile movecheap nfl jerseyst more than banging down low, he was a valuable championship piece. Many of his opponents consider him one of the best big men when it comes to shooting.

After both McHale and Bird reached their peaks and ultimately retired, Parish was still going strong. He would play for the Hornets and Bulls before finally calling his NBA career finished in 1997.

Parish's talent never went too unnoticed. After retirement, the Celtics retired his famous #00, and the jerseys nba enshrined him into the Hall of Fame. He was also named one of the 50 Greatest Players in NBA history for the first 50 seasons. Parish was never the bonafide star for his teams, but he was one of the best sidekicks ever seen.
